Mr. Christopher St. Leger is a native of northwest Indiana and currently resides in Lockhart, Texas. His works are shown in galleries in Austin, Houston, and New York City. He holds a fine arts degree in architecture from Miami University (Ohio) and has traveled extensively in Europe in the further pursuit of his passion for painting.
Much of Mr. St. Leger's work has been “urbanscapes,” a theme that explores city buildings, streets, and alleyways. The skill and precision with which he executes his work in watercolor is truly admirable. Spontaneous splatters of paint accompany his choice of palette, which ranges from soft pastels to bold, dominant primary colors—all recurring themes in his works. Often crowded, sometimes hurried scenes are suddenly transformed to an aura of calmness and beauty.
